Annual “Up on the Roof” Event to Be Held in West Chester

WEST CHESTER – The 13th Annual Up on the Roof event will be held on Saturday, June 6th from 7 to 11 p.m. on the roof of the Chestnut Street Garage.

This unique event provides drinks, dining and dancing along with picturesque views high above the Borough of West Chester. Appetizers and desserts will be provided by a variety of downtown restaurants and a full buffet dinner will be served by Limoncello Ristorante and Caterers. Beer, wine, and the Rooftop Martini are included with tickets along with music provided all night by The Blue Sky Band.

“It’s like having two parties in one…cocktails and appetizers as the sun begins to set, dinner and dancing under the stars,” said Tracy Sammarone, Chairperson of the Up on the Roof Committee. “I’m guessing that not too many people ever take the time to go to the top floor to see the rooftops of West Chester. It is a beautiful sight!”

Tickets for the event are $90 in advance and $110 the night of the event (if available). Advanced tickets are recommended as the event sells out annually. There will be free parking in the Chestnut Street Garage when validated. Dressy casual attire is recommended. For more information and to purchase tickets visit or call Stephenie Stevens at 610-696-0501.

“We are excited to have Bill Ronayne as our Honorary Chair of the event this year,” said Matt Holliday, Vice President of the West Chester Downtown Foundation. “Bill has done so much for West Chester over the years, and we are thrilled to have him play a role in Up on the Roof 2015!”

The event is cohosted by the West Chester Downtown Foundation and the West Chester Business Improvement District with proceeds benefitting continuing efforts to beautify downtown West Chester. Since 2002, Up on the Roof has raised more than $150,000 for various projects such as clean-up, flower planting and downtown marketing.

The primary sponsors of the 2015 Up on the Roof event are MacElree Harvey, Meridian Bank, Parkway Cleaners, A. Roy Smith, Blue Dog Printing and Design, Brandywine Valley Heating and Air Conditioning and DNB Bank.
